Devlog 7 : Second week of sprint 2



Now that the production sprint is finished soon, we are looking towards completing as many open tasks as possible. 

ART

The hero assets are finished and fully implemented. This week the last of the three hero assets have been finished. 

The Player Station:

The white spaces indicate which parts of the model will be color coded in the game itself. This system is now fully implemented and works nicely.

For the environment the rocks and ground plane were finished this week. We decided to give the rocks the same type of outline as the props made in previous production weeks. This decision was made so the whole environment looks more as one whole. To break the repetition in the tileable ground plane we will use decals in the polishing face.

Animations are implemented with some minor bugs that will be fixed in the later process. The work and learning of the particle and vfx graph are going well. A couple of simple particles have already been made. There is also one somewhat more advanced particle in the making.

Gameplay

Animations:
Fixed and tweaked some animations, added shoot animation.

Movement Boost:
Added a movement speed boost at the cost of way more energy.

Linking:
Links automatically unlink when player is full/empty based on what stations he is plugged in to.

Player feedback:
Colored moving text is now spawned when a player earns score by killing someone or when the stations give score based on energy.

Pick ups:
Pick ups now drop faster and have a larger trigger radius.

Small changes:
-Players now don’t get deleted anymore once their stations run out of energy.
-Spawn cost increased.
-Scoring interval for stations decreased.
-Charge line bug when spamming button fixed.
-Increased base movespeed of players.
-Decreased max energy + increased depletion rate of playerstations.
-Increased max player energy.

Some research/setup for the menus(main, selection, ingame and end menu) also has been done but not much implementation yet.
